UMICH Advanced Genomics Core

An Introduction to the Advanced Genomics Core

The University of Michigan Advanced Genomics Core (formerly the DNA Sequencing Core), part of the Biomedical Research Core Facilities within the Office of Research, provides high-quality, low-cost advanced genomic analysis for research clients on a recharge basis. The Core occupies approximately 10,000 square feet of laboratory space in the North Campus Research Complex, with 30 highly trained individuals on staff to help you. We operate a wide variety of instruments that perform genotyping, gene expression analysis, nucleic acid quantification and quality control, next-generation sequencing and single cell analyses.

The Advanced Genomics Core is continuously changing to adapt to the latest technologies. We are a full-service Core, and work closely with our investigators to meet their needs and make their research as successful as possible.
